Favorite Place on Campus: It is so hard to pick! I think my favorite place on campus has to be either the Murchison Gym or the Dining Commons. Building community has always been a focal point of my Westmont experience, and it's in these spaces during meals and chapel that I came to know some of my closest friends and staff members. Also, it's been a space where I've come to challenge and affirm my faith and beliefs outside the classroom.

Favorite Aspect of Westmont: Westmont has provided one of the greatest spaces for shared community, and I believe that is, in large part, to the institution's focus on rigor and challenge. Both inside and outside the classroom during my time at Westmont I have been pushed to view everything from numerous perspectives. In creating a place that welcomes a broad view of learning and life, Westmont equips individuals to engage in discussions relating to similarities and differences. Ultimately, creating room for everyone to grow and broaden their view of each
other and Christ.

Favorite Westmont Experience: By far, my favorite experience was going on a May Term last year. During this time, I traveled throughout Israel, Palestine, Northern Ireland, and the Republic of Ireland. The experience was my first time abroad and was transformative in all aspects of my life. Studying Peace and Reconciliation on the soil of two of the richest conflicts allowed me to understand the complexity and need to understand the narrative from as many different prospectives as possible.

I also had the amazing experience to float in the Dead Sea, travel across the Sea of Galilee, go to the actual Nativity Scene, and see my favorite band, Mumford and Sons, in concert in Ireland!

Why do I work at Westmont? Westmont has become a second home to me. Professors have provided both mentorship and teaching. Also, chapel, small groups, and Student Life each cemented a place for a community outside the classroom, while also allowing me to take on leadership roles. Altogether, Westmont provided me as a student with an experience to grow as a learner and follower of Christ while also allowing me to pursue new passions through numerous avenues. Now, I hope to share with students how their stories can bring the same.

Hobbies: Probably the one constant (next to Jesus) is sports. I am an avid Denver sports fan, as most of my family comes from the great state of Colorado. Also, I am a huge movie and music fan. My favorite movie is Good Will Hunting, and my favorite band is Mumford and Sons. I love tacos, specifically Mony's Tacos. I drink about three cups of coffee a day, and my favorite local place is the Daily Grind. I love politics and reading. I am, in fact, the guy who continually looks at polling and new political theories. I love my family. I have two sisters (one at Westmont) and enjoy spending time with them.
