In the past few months, we’ve all had to make adjustments to the way we live and work. But as we head out of crisis mode and into summer, we need to figure out how to move beyond maintenance and into innovation. But launching a team remotely is a fundamentally different challenge from shifting to remote work during an emergency. As business and systems analyst Kim Shifley observed,

Last week, the CATLab had the privilege of hosting Westmont College’s first-ever Be A Multiplier coding day! The all-day event gave kids from junior high to high school the chance to learn the basics of programming in Salesforce. All the kids who came had a blast, and we certainly did, too!

Back in the beginning of June, the CATLab had the privilege of attending Westmont’s annual Lead Where You Stand conference. Starting on Thursday this week, we get the chance to give back to the community as we co-host the Enabling Impact conference with Salesforce.

Since we’re just one week away from Be A Multiplier (BAM), our coding day for junior high and high schoolers, we asked one of our developers, James, to share some thoughts on why empowering others is so crucial to the CATLab’s mission.
